Jelly Jazz 11th Birthday Party

By Mark on Wednesday 2 June 2004 at 23:12

On Saturday night Sarah, Al, Stu and I went down to the Eden Project for the Jelly Jazz party.

What an amazing place to hold a club night! The venue was perfect, and the tunes weren't bad neither, courtesy of The Mastersounds and jazz saxophonist Lou Donaldson.

Saw a load of people I haven't seen for years, took loads of photos, and everyone else got nicely toasted; job's a good 'un.

I'll post a photo gallery soon (meaning my soon, not soon in the standard sense)...

Wow, a party in the Eden Project - can't stop thinking of the film “Bio-Dome” now. So did you actually get to go in the domes, I imagine all the smoking and spilled beer would ruin the nice plants and stuff. Besides which, its too fucking hot in the jungle one.
I wish more unexpected places would host gigs and clubnights, like a gallery, or a zoo.

No, they don't let you in there, which is a good thing Wink

Although I am surprised there isn't more drunken destruction on the way out; there's about 2000 very wasted people leaving at the same time, yet it was all very chilled and respectful.

I'm not used to that, what with me living in Plymouth and all...
