St Ives

Sarah and I spent the afternoon in St Ives. It was raining when we left, so I didn't hold out much hope, but when we got there the weather gods were smiling and the sun washed over the town.

We had lunch in a little café called Jaminis; bacon, avocado and mozzarella melt with olives and houmous washed down with a cappuccino… one of the best places I've ever eaten at.

After some shopping and lounging on the seafront, we took a look around the Barbara Hepworth centenary exhibition at the Tate St Ives, which was impressive, despite the fact I'm not really a connoisseur of sculpture. The Hepworth Sculpture Garden (also run by the Tate) was a serene way to round off the day.

I'm pretty tired after walking up all those hills, so goodnight all, I'll write again soon.
