I got myself a Gameboy Advance SP for Christmas, and on Monday I picked up a cheap little Japanese game called Kuru Kuru Kururin, because a certain Mr Barwick had mentioned it while we were shopping in Plymouth over the holiday.
The basic premise is, you're a constantly-rotating stick, and you have to get from one end of a maze to another without touching the walls three times.
Mother of GOD. It's SOOOOOO frustrating, but at the same time so addictive I can't put it down for more than five minutes; I'm even playing it in the mornings before work, when I'm already late...
Well, I guess it serves me right for not reading the reviews:
“(Kuru Kuru Kururin is) ...only marginally less annoying than finding yourself on a plane, seated between a hyperactive five-year-old infant with toothache and Robin Williams. In economy.”
So thanks Matt, you've ruined my life. None of you will ever see me again…

Until you find my wasted, malnourished body hunched in some corner, clutching a Gameboy with a small, rotating stick on the screen.

Sorry. (Hehehe.)
I'm surprised you actually found a copy - I've trawled no end of game shops to try and find it again (I saw it somewhere in London just before Christmas, and am now kicking myself for not getting it).
If you're after another addictive game, I can also recommend Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising. But if you fancy some racing action, Mario Kart: Super Circuit is pretty damn good.
I bet you've hardly even touched Superstar Saga either...

No, on the contrary, I've (scarily) logged about 17 hours on Superstar Saga... DAMN those games which tell you how much time you've wasted playing them.

Incidentally, I got my copy of Kuru (or the Game Of Eternal Punishment, as I now affectionately call it) in WHSmith's for twelve quid... might be worth a try in your local branch.
