30th birthdays!

Right - I don't want to make you feel old, but I was trying to plan something for Dan's birthday and realised that you're all going to be 30 pretty soon! If I remember correctly, Dan kicks it off at the beginning of September this year and Pablo's and Palmer's birthdays are at the end of August 2008.

So, I reckon we should embrace it and have a massive party sometime between those times. What do you reckon?

I thought it should be somewhere in Callington because that would be funny and we should all have somewhere to stay, but Dan thinks that could be really bad!

It seems like I'm doing this way in advance but firstly, it's raining outside and I'm really bored and secondly, if we finalise a date pretty soon, you could all have enough time to invite everyone you're still in contact with in your year.

I think it could be really cool. You could all have a disc of photos and a video of the party to remember it forever and it's a good reason to get everyone together.

So, what I need to know is:

Are you up for it?
Where do you think it should be?
What month do you think it should be in?

P.S. I think Mark is still shuddering from the thought of the day after his recent birthday party so if he comes back saying it's not a good idea, I'm going to ignore that one!

And yes, smart arses, whilst sitting back and rereading my smug handywork, I appreciate the irony that I took the piss out of pablo and then omitted a key word from my post. That word should be help. For the slow ones at the back. (Hi Masked Avenger).

And yes Dee, that all sounds like a top idea. What about Calstock?

man that sounds like a big party. it also sounds like a fucking logistical nightmare. and calstock?? obviously i got somewhere to crash here, but i'm afraid i hate calstock - redneck weirdo freaky cunts. mutha fuckers.... twats.... anyways - yeah why not calstock but i'm not quite visualising where its gonna be. is it the pub or are you planning on hiring a marquee or just a free for all or what? how about markybinho's parents house. or we could have a dorristock if the man himself is down with it. or even if he aint, fuck it.

also, pablo, enjoy being fantasy champions cos you aint gunna win the fa cup either... Grin

I think if we're gonna do it it has to be a big camping thing somewhere (next summer perhaps?) - like Katie did for her birthday in Gunnislake.

We could just find someone who's willing to let us have a field, and then everyone can bring tents/vans/cardboard boxes and it doesn't matter how many hundreds of people turn up or what gets spilt/broken/thrown up on.

Oh and also, we all have to go as Transformers. And take paintball guns. And a case of Jack Daniels.

And a trampoline.

OK, I think I'm done now...

marks option is a good one. i like.

alternativley we can hire calstock hall if anyone really wants to do it in calstock. it will be about £100 ish - slightly less. but also that has to close before midnight. so i reckon a field somewhere, in august. ideal.

that mask-ed one is up early for a part timer.

Calstock hall could be a giggle, but what about a big beach party?

That all sounds cool. We were having ideas like projecting up the video of your last day at school and photos of past parties etc, but that would require a power supply and a place that, as you say, would probably close early.

With regards to the logistics, Dan and I don't mind organising stuff.

With regards to the suggestion of Mark's Mum and Dad's house - not sure about that but I reckon we should get them to come along. After all, the fact that most of us didn't die in ditches is due to the fact that we always made ourselves walk that bit further to get to the house of tea and toast!

Anyway, keep the ideas coming and start thinking about who you still know so it could be like a massive reunion. Does anyone still have Fricker's number? How about Pete Jonas?

Fricker's in Sweden (last I heard) so it's probably going to be a bit of a stretch.

Conversely, we could probably just walk into the Swingle and get Jonas out on the night of the party...

Pah to a rubbish Trampoline...Can we have a bouncy castle?! Can we?! Can we?! Pleeeeaaaase?!!! (Eyelash flutter)

You know you want one too.

That's why it's cool that we're organising it so far in advance. We can give people a chance to book holidays etc. and to sober up Jonas enough to walk him out of the Swingletree!

Yeah I`m up for it. Just one request, can you hold it when I`m not at Uni. If your thinking of August this year, or next, then that would be ideal and that! Love all that.
