It's quite interesting to look at our little social group and compare what we were like at school with the jobs we all do now. Some of us are doing exactly what you'd expect, while others certainly aren't.
Among my friends I count:
- Two number-crunchers (an accountant and a credit controller)
- A human resources guy
- Three teachers (didn't see that one coming!)
- A graphic designer
- Three people who do 'clever things' that I don't even understand well enough to try and describe them
- An IT engineer
- A forester
- Three web designers (we're everywhere nowadays)
- Someone who drives those massive trucks in a quarry
- Several people who I don't really know what they do for money, and don't really want to ask
It's quite the spectrum of professions. There's not really a point to this; I just thought it was interesting.

They're all good jobs too - no crack dealers, pimps or contract killers anywhere. Or do they come under “people who I don't really know what they do for money, and don't really want to ask”...

I don't know. I've never asked.
