Who's up for going to the cinema (apart from Stu, who's not invited) on Sat?
The following is taken from the TotalFilm five star review,
“Southern-fried speed-freak Ricky Bobby (Will Ferrell) is NASCAR’s strutting great redneck peacock (“Fastest gets paid, fastest gets laid!”). When his unbeaten record – and more – is broken by Gallic sophisto Jean Girard (Sacha Baron Cohen), Ricky’s drugged-out dad (Gary Cole) is forced to drag him back behind the wheel...
...Forget the recent blips; Ferrell is back in freewheeling form. More than just the year’s funniest film, Talladega Nights is one of the films of the year."
The performance times at the Vue cinema are, 15:20, 16:30, 17:50, 19:00, 20:20, 21:30 and 23:10.
Obviously we would need to squeeze some drinking in before or after the film.

I agree bill - its pretty much 90 minutes of confusion as to who you hate more isn't it? Also, I'm pretty much never going to the cinema to see that film. Cheers.

Plus, I have a small problem with you calling it a 'performance'. It's a film bill, and it starts whenever it starts.

Aside from all that - how have you been?

Very funny. Very surreal. Best bit? The cougar sequence. I don't think it was film of the year though, I'll wait for Martin Scorsese's 'The Departed' before making that judgement. Best comedy maybe.

i must agree with with billy on thi one, excellent comedy but not film of the year. But i did think the blind fold diving bit was the funniest bit. or the little boy saying to his granny “if you turds dont shut up i'm gona smack somebody in the mouth”.
