Just a reminder that Hot Fuzz is released today. Liz and I were lucky enough to see it last week and oh my, we laughed.
Whether you liked Shaun of the Dead or not, this is more of the same. Just delete zombies and replace with coppers. Like a cross between Lethal Weapon, the Wicker Man and an episode of Midsummer Murders only very, very funny. Some reviews have said that the ending goes on to long and gets a bit silly but I didn't want it to end and silly is what these guys do best.
“If you wanna be a big cop in a small town, fuck off to the model village!”
With brilliant performances from Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Timothy Dalton as well as cameos from the likes of Steve Coogan, Bill Nighy, and Ewar Woowar, this is the sort of film British cinema should be making. If we can't do the big explosion blockbuster lets at least take the piss in our own quirky way.
Go and see it and laugh. If you don't, then there's something wrong with you and you need to forget everything you know, go and rent Spaced series 1 and 2 and start again from scratch.

I haven't seen it yet and almost agree with Bill, I think you should watch Spaced 1+2 anyway.

What was the reviewer expecting who said the ending 'gets a bit silly'?
Will definitely see it soon when we get back from France.
