Getting away from it all

I'd just about had enough on Friday, so when Sarah suggested we go to Constantine Bay and camp in the dunes for Liz's birthday weekend, I was really up for it.

There's something about Constantine; because it's just the beach and a tiny car park, you don't get the massive crowds you do at other beaches. The sand dunes are perfect for a little hidden campsite, and in terms of peace and solitude it's about as good as they come.

We arrived around 7pm, with the usual organisational fiasco...

After a few interesting diversions (beach footy and Pablo having to tow a police car off the beach in his Land Rover), we got the tents set up. Pablo got the fire going, and the rest is history (meaning I can't remember).

I woke up at 7 this morning and took some photographs, then we went and played pitch n' putt in the sun, the result being that I now have sunburn and chronic hay fever.

It was worth it though...

ahh man i miss cornwall - brightons wicked but the beaches are nothing in comparison and the pitch'n'put ain't as eXtreme either :o(
