Late Night <strike>Hell</strike> Shopping Rant

By Mark on Friday 19 December 2003 at 09:51

I went downtown last night to pick up the last few pressies on my list.

Why do we do it to ourselves? Why? Some of the shops were one out/one in; I thought that only happened at nightclubs?!?!

There were so many people it was ridiculous, and it seems the seasonal trend (at least in Plymouth) is to amble around as slowly as possible, randomly swerving to block the progress of the person behind you, who believe it or not, HAS BETTER THINGS TO DO THAN SPEND 2 HOURS LOOKING AT YOUR FAT BEHIND.

Sorry, I've done it again, haven't I. Best mark this one 'rant'…

I feel a strange sense of achievement coming on...

Ahhhhhh...fuck Christmas! Change it to givepresentsandgetpisstmas, at least it won't be in disguise as a religious thing....

I'm with you Al, there's no point trying to pass it off as a “religious festival”, you have to accept it for what it really is - a week of eating and drinking until it hurts and watching James Bond. Tea and a mince pie, anyone? Get in.
