New York, New York

Went to the US for a conference last week in Indianapolis. Not a bad place to visit, but I had a couple of days stop-over in New York on the way home. So, on wedensday I had a wander up 5th Ave, walked round Central Park, looked round the Guggenheim, then went out for a few drinks and a bite to eat - ended up getting bladdered with a few other tourists. Next day I took a ferry trip round Manhattan island then wandered up to Times Square, Empire State building and the Chrysler building. Flew back Thursday night. Tiring, but incredible - the whole island is jam-packed with stuff going on. Everywhere. All the time.

The song was right.

So let me get this straight. You get to go to New York, and I get to go to a prison in Bristol.

I have GOT to get some better work-related travel going on here...

Sounds good though Smile

You “get to go” to prison? This wouldn't be a result of your birthday celebrations by any chance... Seriously though, why? And how's the new office working out?

I'm going to film some video for a CD-ROM we're doing for the Criminal Justice board.

Haven't moved yet, but it is all definite now (completed on the house etc etc). I'm really looking forward to it now though: it'll be a nice place to work in the summer!

And I'll have my own window Smile
