Fairly skint about now, as I spent loads of money at the start of the month and forgot to think about how I was going to eat/travel/pay bills for the rest of August.
So I did nothing on Friday, while Sarah went to London and got drunk.
Saturday I went home to see my parents, who've just come back from a cruise around the Med... alright for some! Then in the evening we met up with Mr P and the Brighton crew, got rather sozzled (does anyone use that word anymore; if not, why not?) and walked home from Nik's at 4am.
Sunday was pretty much a write-off, but I did do some painting, which I haven't done in years. It felt very good to be creating something and not using a computer for once.
I'll start writing about more interesting stuff again soon, I promise!

Yeah, August always seems to clean me out too. I blame the weather - forget saving for a rainy day, it's the sunny days I need money.
And I'm afraid I don't use the word “sozzled”. Why not? Because I prefer the term “helluva pissed”.

It's not just August that cleans me out... it's the first week of every month.
And I'm already planning on buying more stuff at the start of next month, even though I'm down to a tenner now...

A tenner's not much when you've still got a whole weekend to go before payday. Best get to the offie for the “special offers”.
Although, I'll bet a lot of your spending is for the house - once you've run out of things you need to get you'll have loads of spare cash. Maybe. Actually, you won't. There's always something that desperately needs to be exchanged for a handful of your hard-earned...
