Clay Pigeon Shoot

By Mark on Thursday 28 December 2006 at 17:45

Here are some of the pics (I'll put up a proper gallery later) from our day of shooting - nobody 'accidentally' shot anyone, and a good time was had by all (except possibly the clay pigeons, but they don't really have much of a life anyway).

See you all soon - I'm off to buy a hearing aid.

That was awesome. I feel shattered now though, must be that combo of fresh air, concentrating a bit and then having a pub lunch.

Nice one Pablo, that spot in the woods is a real hidden gem. Any chance we can go biking there? Or any other woods you have access to?

Mark, any “smoking barrel” shots?

Glad no-one “did a Cheney".

ok i don't want to shoot anyone or anything now. I have calmed down and have worked out how to turn off the caps lock!

Clay pigeons are just clay discs arn't they?

On Friday 29 December 2006 at 18:48, Mark said:

No, they're actually real pigeons, compressed into a disc shape using a high-pressure hydraulic moulding machine.

Clay is apparently too expensive to use these days.

New years Party!
Hi Mark - can you please post this somewhere everyone can see it?
So, I think the band should all get to mine for 7pm - no practice needed! Everyone else here at 8pm. The theme is a bit less rascist than mocking Sikhism to encompass Colonialism and Bedouins as well. Just kidding! Think belly dancers, harem pants, and camels. Heres a great image we should aspire to:

Plan is to play the gig here at mine and then at about 11.30 head to the Union for actual midnight. Then we shall watch the rest of the union gig and come back here and play pin the spit on the camel handler and which celebrity? (obscured by a turban)
Hope you all get this!!
