Well, I think we can all agree that we gave Al a good send off on Saturday (he left for Japan on Monday). I've only just recovered now... and I use the term 'recovered' lightly, as in 'am now vaguely able to move or speak'.

Cheers guys!
This is my secound day in Japan, yet again its hot but its not too bad, although today is gonna be sunny and 34 degrees..eek.
Typical though, as the day after I arrive, having slept about 5 mins on the flight, I had to get up and fill forms in for the rest of my life!
Still, thats all out the way now..thank fuck.
Met up with my Japanese mate, Takashi or Tak for short, and he showed my around a bit, and then we ended up in a pub..so life has changed a great deal really....
I need to do a proper post at some point but I have forgotten my login name and password..MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARK?
Today I have to go register, so more forms then( it is like freshers week all over again..and the amount of Americans is comical. And to top it off they can't understand my accent..same fucking language! WHATS THAT ABOUT!), then I dunno what I'm gonna go do. Meeting my host family at the weekend. I am going to stay with a couple whos daughter is living in the U.S. They are both about 60 years old so I think it will be nice and chilled out, and hopefully I'll get nice food as well. Oh and they don't speak English, so I can't cop out on not using Japanese.
Anyway, everyone be good

I'm really gutted I couldn't be there for your send-off. Mind you, you could have delayed setting off until I got back. Nevermind, Have the best time you possibly can and keep in contact (let me know about those eBay/importing opportunities we discussed). Cheers, Billy.

You have done very well with that comment. I salute you.

At danger of boring anyone I've mentioned this to before...
Takashi (the nutter with the slanting face in the final game of Takashi’s Castle) is actually 'Beat' Takeshi Kitano, one of the most famous Japanese men around. He is a hugely successful comedian, chat show host, director and actor. He is very highly regarded in the field of world cinema (I highly recommend seeing Zatôichi, a blind samurai, comedy, musical) and is probably best known, over here, for his role as the insane teacher in 'Battle Royale'. Therefor, in answer to your question, Oriel. Yes, he probably does have his own castle.

Unfortunately egg is on your face as its TaKEshi's castle not Takashi's castle...and no he still hasn't got a castle.

I concede your point, Al. But I would like to highlight my use of the correct spelling of Takeshi Kitano's name in my comment. I was purely continuing the spelling of the game show from the original comment. Consider egg wiped from face and thrown at Oriel.
